SIZZZZZZZZZZLE 6/89[29.2] what we should expect
COPELAND 4/58[22] very good SS bowler, but not test standard
CASSON 2/48[12] He most love having Smith, Hauritz, Okeefe in the squad ....

On what basis is that--cos he hasnt played one??

I was thinking exactly the same. The only reason would be the standard of the batters throughout the country is rather substandard so it's easier to get wickets?

Right hand meduim fast bowlers are common world wide
Too succeed at Test level a bowler needs to be more dynamic or blastworthy
Copeland bowls in a predominantly bowler friendly domestic comp
Copeland would be easy pickings for International batsman on predominantly flatter decks
He might be a good bowler in England or in home tests, but elsewhere I doubt it

This is not being derogative to Copeland, I am a fan of his, and reckon he is a very good SS bowler

On the other hand MAL he would be able to swing the ball both ways (ala Anderson) when our current bowlers couldnt. Swinging ball will bring wickets in the international cricket state as it is today

VI 4/231
That keeper WADE 69*[107]
That man for a crisis QUINEY 57*[59]
That star SS bowler COPELAND 2/30[24]

In retrospect I commented how gutless NSW were declaring wit a 449 lead with a day left
BUT
when I look at thier one man attack ...
COPELAND 2/30[24]

then
COYTE 1/55[18.5]
henREBiques 1/14[15]
CASSON 0/77 [18]
WARNER 0/30[8]
ROHRER 0/19[2]

still would have declared earlier though

Well they might of made 100s
BUT
this game was called off with 42 balls still to be bowled
Another bewildering bozo decision by the New South Welshmen in this match

VI 4/252[89]
WADE 77*[123]
QUINEY 67*[75]
COPELAND 2/40[27]

They play cricket different to how I used to captain cricket teams
The only time I would call off a game early like this game is if there was 5 balls left with6 wickets left
These bubbleheaded bozolites should have bowled at least another 3 overs b4 conceding adraw

NS now 32 points

WA 160
NILE 40[87]
BEER 4 [37] ...
BUTTERWORTH 6/51[`16.1] How does he keep bagging wickets, surely heez not that good

TA 0/44[12]
KRUGER 16*[40]
COWAN 19*[33]

An outright will get TA to equal top with 32 points
That will make the bubbleheaded booby blues thinking why didnt we ....

Is that the same Manou some called soft earlier in the season for missing a match with a broken (smashed) toe?

And the same one playing this match with a heart condition playing up?

MIKE HUSSEY
Told the AU selectors he would be fit 4 the World Cup
But was not selected as was considered a risky proposition
Was to be playing v TA this SS match
Cricket Australia overuled his selection
WHY ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Would it be the embarrasment ?

BUTTERWORTH
91 not out
Having a sensational season

TA + NS
TA lead by 251 runs and the 6 points for the taking
This will get them to 32 points and equal top with NS
NS might rue not setting VI a closer target yesterday and having another 10 overs to bowl at em

I have questioned the wisdom of his batting when batting too high in 20/20 games
I still think we are unbalanced if Manou bats at 6

One thing I will never ever question is his courage
I was really irked when he was called soft for not batting with a busted toe in a game earlier this year

The criticism of Choc was unfounded

When MALigned cricketers like Manous, Mick Clarkes, Micth Johnsons+ Shaun Taits break a toe they are called weak or soft
When Popular cricketers get broken toes like Border, Lara, Steve Waugh or Kane Richardson no one questions thier courage

Sometimes I just think its the player not the injury that incites derogative comments by some of our posters

Now on top of that is the the revelation that Choc has a heart condition

Ive been a critic of Choco, but nothing pleases me more than to see a guy like him perform so well
