Dhammika Prasad, the Sri Lanka fast bowler, has been ruled out of the limited-overs series against Pakistan in the UAE due to an injury he sustained during the third Test in Sharjah. Prasad pulled his quad muscle and bowled just four overs in the game. He's been replaced by the allrounder Thisara Perera, who played in the World Cup final, and toured England earlier this year.

My mum and all her side of the family are Jamaican born and bred in the suburb of Stony Hil right near Kingston. In saying that they are fair skinned Jamaicans so even if you saw me you would never pick it.

Have been to Jamaica twice once when i was very young and then when i was about 12. Still not the safest of places to visit due to on going racial tensions especially in the capital Kingston. Pretty expensive to get to as well as pretty much the only way you can get there is through flights in Miami.

My grandad was who got me into cricket and have spent many many many hours watching VHS of the old Windies his favourite being the Master Blaster and Malcom Marshall

Being a small left handed batsmen myself no one ever came close to Brian. I still remember watching his 277 at the SCG like it was yesterday. I was only 7 at the time but i remember so much of that innings. My grandad has a copy of it on VHS i might see if i can burn the whole innings onto DVD that would be amazing, not sure what the quality is like.

Windies 7/119
Lead by 214.
Chanderpaul is about the only West Indian who looks like he can hold a bat, most of the others dont have much of an idea. He made a superb ton in the first innings and is closing in on a half century in 2nd dig. Their bowling looks solid but their batting is holding them back at the moment.

17 wickets fell yesterday Jim, so for this match at least they might not have to cop too many batting criticisms...

Shiv out for 47, a great second innings after his ton.
Darren Sammy is 38* (34) and WI are 8/157

Maybe it just shows how good Shiv is.
Dont just mean this test though, the Windies batting seems to be their weekness. Would love to see Gayle and Pollard in that side. Their results are getting better and they appear to have turned the corner. Would love them to beat India
