I don't think any SOuth African rates Hughes at all.
Watch the body language of the keeper whenever Hughes plays and misses.
It's as if he's been doing it too them consistently for 15 years.

Question: Were we crap here in Australia or were South Africa really good?

I'd suggest we could have played better, but were on the wrong side of 2 results that really could have gone either way.

Question the Saffies will be facing if they drop this series, is did they think they'd already played their Grand Final here in Oz?

Good decision IMHO by Ponting to bat again. The pitch is still fairly flat and should wear abit by day 4 and even more day 5.

Also this should give the bowlers a good chance to rest their niggling injuries before going full pelt to win the match.

Haha, they've wasted a referral on Hughes there. And then gets a four which that shot now should be his rights to a trademark on it.

The commentators are clearly in denial over the fact that we have discovered another insanely talented opening batsman.

Considering that Smith wont bat, What sort of total should we set for South Africa

Bat all day at least. Give the bowlers a rest. Look at maybe 600 plus
