I have come to the conclusion that the current top level Cricketers in SA are simply not at a First Class Standard.

This is the Generation that the lure of the AFL has taken its full hold with instant fame and fortune at 18 years old. Life as a professional cricket player at that age simply doesn't reel in the dollars like a footballer does.

We just have to ride it out and hope that the next crop isn't stuffed up.....

Well the writing has been on the wall for years. How many dud underage teams were sent to the national carnivals? How many of those players are still playing cricket for Grade clubs?

All of the people who have bagged us for the first two days of this match had better not complain about imports (Blizzard, Theo, AOB) playing in the next match.

Wouldnt care if we played 11 imports as long as they are not duds. Time to target a decent import. Would be throwing some money Peter Nevill's way. I rate him as the best keeper in the country but when Haddit gets dropped he will keep for NSW and Nevill will be back at grade cricket unfortunately.

why would he want to come here

True.
Reckon he would want to be playing at shield level but they love Haddin. He might be looking for opportunies.
But yes we are probably the last state he would move to

No we just need to pick better imports. Look at some of the good players who have transferred to other sides. Cowan, Birt, Forrest, Rimmington just to name a few.
