Out of all the batsmen imho Marsh was the only one who got out playing an ordinary shot.

Impressed with the opening combination of Cowan and Warner, very opposite and bowlers have to bowl in totally different line and lengths to the two.

Obviously Cowan and Hussey very unlucky, i know its early but i cant see Cowan been dropped, thats the attitude of an opening batsmen that we have been lacking since Langer retired. I think the selectors will really rate his innings. Hussey could be in trouble when Watson comes back, i reckon the selectors would love to see Watson come back in the middle order.

Anyway that type of batting attitude is what i can handle even if it doesnt always come off. Haddin been a prime example. Really hope he goes on with it and hits a ton.

Agree with that summary.

Also believe that, what India is doing, is Cheating.

Why did we let them play against us without the technology we have now become accustomed to?

India do not want to use it as they do not fully understand the rules associated with it and do not wish to.
Hence they do not use it.

Hussey missed the ball
Cowan missed the ball
Mal has not gone to digital as yet, but will look into it, as the last few overs of a Boxing Day Test has now become the first and only reason Ive had to get digital TV

Whether you've got digital or not, SHOW THE FULL DAYS PLAY FFS.

To all channels, if you get the privelidge (note: not RIGHT) to broadcast a live sporting contest, please do not take your audience for granted by playing adverts over the top of the sport, nor cutting off telecasts for news or other less important spectacles.

Do Ch 9 realise that if I as a cricket fan usually watch Ch 7 or 10 and the cricket runs 15 or 30 minutes late that they'll pick me up as a viewer? I'm less likely to change channel at 6.00 when the news starts on 7 and especially less likely to change it over at 6.14, 6.19 or 6.22!

How difficult is it to work out?

More importantly, how hard is it to treat the public (the people who pay Ch9 executives wages) some respect?

And one more thing
I hope all this Test Cricket that David Warner is playing does not stuff up his 20/20 technique

Decent day for Aussies.

Warner looked excellent and then got out, frustrating, but that stupid little delay had something to do with that.

Cowan was outstanding, well done to him, great application, superb stuff.

Ponting was fantastic, looked really good. Good signs, 3rd fifty in 4 tests.

Marsh the only one, along with Clarke I guess, who threw it away.

Disgraceful decision against Hussey, and Cowan also wasn't out.

Current partnership between Siddle and Haddin has been great, and Dhoni was FAR too conservative in his fields.

He's still gone for mine. Not going on with it once he does the hard work, no balance at all during the initial stages of his innings and finding new ways to get out and sconned once again today. IMO these are all the hallmarks of an experienced player who has lost his eye and is struggling to maintain his levels of concentration. However, the selectors have it right at the moment as he is still better than those that are currently not knocking the door down.

It's not rocket surgery. By ignoring the available technology they aren't playing within the spirit of the game. Whether or not that is cheating is a grey area though...techincally speaking they are not but you can't tell me that no DRS didn't leave a sour taste in your mouth today. But then again, it could have been that Belgian beer I was drinking.

I thought Siddle was superb today. It looks as though he has worked on his batting along with his fitness and his bowling. His whole hearted approach to the game reminds me of Andy Bichel even though Siddle has greater players in his sights.

And despite all that (yawn), the fact still remains, 3 half centuries from 5 innings.
