WA 8/130[20]
DAVIS 2[5] have 2 third men and stop his most productive shot
SWART 5[7] Gayles replacement ...
VOGES 17[17] pretty batsman but too slow tonight
POMERSBACH 8[17] feasted on the part timer Lockyear in particular, but as Bayman POSTED will never be a courier
NORTH 10[16] another piss poor 20/20 effort again
BEATON 11[7] at last someone who got out with a strike rate over 100
MAHMOOD 2[4]
BEER 11*[9]
LEWIS 9*[10]

RONCHI 43 [29]
Who organises the batting order, is it Mickey Arthur or Mickey Mouse ?
Its not rocket science Luke is there best 20/20 hitter by panels and bats at 5

Didn't see the game, is the highlighted a typo or sarcasm? 8 from 17 balls is hardly "feasting?" :(

So looks like nsw hosting tas in semi. Qld would have to thump nsw to give tas the home semi.
I feel sa will play nsw in gf, they will pump tas

If tait is fit for australia then dougie or lee might be rotated back to nsw.
Cant see why paine cant play for tas. Surely having a hit is better than sitting on the bench for australia

Agree Jimbo
Let Paine play 20 overs
keeping practice and a have hit

MP
POMERSBACH
TA were a bowler down and had to bowl Lockyear
No offence to Lockyear but he bowled ladidah lollypops
Pomersbach was playing them as if they were hand grenades at times
IF you cant hit Lockyear to at least to deep long off or deep long on, you may not be suited to 20/20

1. Have to be Bolly... If Lee isn't in the bext XI, he'll pull the pin... ;)

2. Paine is the number one Keeper in many people's eyes...

Pomers... Fair enough, I needed a smiley though...

I think paine is no 1 keeper but makes no sense to have one of them sitting on the sidelines. Haddin or paine should be allowed to go back to state side. Same with bowlers, why didnt mitch play for wa last night. Surely these guys in world cup squad need to keep playing. If tassie make final can ponting be a late inclusion for a final hitout before they set of for world cup, surely he needs a hitout or do the aussies have any warm up games scheduled?

KFC BIG BASH LADDER and run rates

08 SA [+1.655]
08 TA [+0.181]
06 NS [+0.370]
06 WA [-0.662]
02 QL [-0.439]
02 VI [-0.994]

It looks very likely that the trifecta in order will be
1 SA
2 TA
3 NS
Does anyone know the formula for the run rates ?

Preliminary Final is almost certain to be
TA V NS in Hobart
Then SA will host the Prelim winner at Adelaide Oval

Who gives a crap about run rate. Just beat the vics and nothing else matters

Phil Hughes has finally been dropped for the NSW 20/20 team
Was a dynamic batsman in this format previously
However this season he seemingly looked more intent on scoring some runs instead of using the first 6 overs as a launching pad for his team
Phil Jaques is expected to take Hughes spot in the Prelim final vrs Tasmania

The downside of 20/20 saturation at this time of the year is that Hughes has not had the opportunity to play SS cricket, knuckle down and make runs

His progress will be interesting
A good finish to the year could see him wearing the baggy green again
A bad finish could see him being a district cricketer sometime next season
And a couple more poor seasons could see him seeking a game at the Western Youth Centres hard wicket team

NSW 2/14 (3.4 overs)

Looks like another shocker of a pitch at ANZ Stadium. You'd hope they'd improve that before they start playing international T20's there.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10
