Watto looking very front on - hoping he doesn't spawn a leading edge from his broken weiner!

What player no was Manou assigned when he was selected last test?
I'm amazed England is well into the 600s for players selected for Test Cricket, whereas we would be a good 200 less, surely?

How about the South Africans who decided to start from 1 again after they were readmitted to Test cricket.

So apparently Barry Richards, Graeme Pollock, etc didn't exist. :shock:

SA = :oops:

I didn't know that :shock:

ODIs - England have had 207, Aust 176 (North the last to debut).
T20 - England 42, Aust 39 (North the latest again).
North was 409 at Test level.

Astonishing that the Poms have had 649 Test players to our 411.

Yep a great first two sessions to this test match. Take off the three Strauss made, coz he was out first up, and the poms wouldn't have made 100 :D .

As well as the fact people like Bopara get given a gig no wonder they are at 649 already.

Apparently, Australia's player number tally has two controversies: The first being that the first official tour of the UK by an Australian team, was made entirely by Indigenous cricketers, who were not granted full test recognition, and the second, Brendon Julian and Michael Slater swapped numbers after Slater had the wrong number tattooed upon his chest.

When Katich was caught by Bopara off the bowling off Harmison, a Pommy commentator said, "That's why he's in the team". At first I thought he was talking about Harmison, but then I realised he was talking about Bopara.

AH thats a classic. I was thinking to myself, about time bopara did something.

With the south african players list, there shirts are numbers after there readmittance, but they still have every player that has played for SA in order and list. Its just the shirt number that is after readmittance. Why? i have no idea!

Iv heard about this Slater and Julian one before, Slater was initially given the first number i think, but after was given to Julian (alphabetically i believe), however iv heard Julian and Slater both say that they regard there number as the first they were given.
