Similar stage in the first Test they were out to $11. Very good bet that would have been.

Well it was worth a shot with Lee but nothing has come out of it beyond further reason for concern. :(

Say he does nothing for the rest of the test match...how long before he could be dropped? I mean could it be In: Hilf, Out: Lee for Sydney?

Edit: Now that's very symbolic. Johnson immediately strikes after Lee is replaced.

I remember the 12 months he was wasted as 12th man, when he was in good form.
We need to have some faith in him & perservere- he can still do a job whilst others take wickets.
Although granted, there's a difference between someone wicketless bowling well, & someone not...

That is how to bowl at bunnies. Well done Johnson. Now clean up the other three quickly.

Brett Lee softened him up?
Don't laugh at that, batsmen facing "inferior" bowling can fail to pick the initial change of class & pace- they get comfortable, the new bowler can catch them out.
Good captaincy by Ponting.

I saw Siddle's hawkeye chart- that's an example for all bowlers on where they should be bowling...

Geez i hate to say it but the penetration that we have seen from Siddle and Johnson has been really lacking from Lee. He has relied on his pace for so long and now it seems to be going. Hopefully he can recapture some form and pace soon otherwise he is in some strife.

One good thing out of this is, that if we have a lead around 200 Haydo's can come out with no team pressure ion him, relax and attempt to thrash himself back into form. One thing is for certain that RSA will not score over 400 to win this test

Mate earlier on he was bowling between 150-152km but only for about 2 overs then it dropped dramatically, obviously what he picked up in India (the virus) has taken a huge toll on him, my 8 yr old son mentioned to me about 20 mins ago that Lee looks sick, perhaps he has not recovered and if thats the situation rest him

well he needs to reinvent himself as a line & length bowler, rather than the fearsome pace he's relied on al his career.
