The reconditioned Kookaburra Ball and some awful shot selection strike again in Perth!

Archer was absolutely on the money with the new ball, spewing Labuschagne couldn't get through his spell after doing all the hard work and then Smith aswell.

I actually think this is good for us, we lacked mental toughness and it will be a wake up call, eek out another 10-15 runs and we’re not that far behind.

We played arguably our most inform, available XI so we have to back them in, I still maintain that we should’ve played Webster ahead of Lyon but hindsight is redundant.

I think they have a stronger team than ours, I can’t see Root failing too often so we need Smudge to step up along with Marnus to be stoic.
