you taking the piss???? top ten maybe, no way top 3....

Ponting is a CHAMPION. Lets not forget that.

And yeah he is probably done, but why does he never get any loose deliveries early like the ball at Clarke's feet? When you're going through a rough trot, you always get corkers.

Corker? It wasn't that good a pill. He missed it by miles. Gone two years ago and now we are paying the price for using the English selection system. It held them back decades and it might do the same to us.

Correct, never thought it would happen to Rik, but it clearly has 8)

No, the computer would have clearly shown they bowled too full and were told such. Pulled it back, dried up the runs and the wickets came.

Definately bowled better line and length with the exception of Philander who has bowled well all day.
There are a few decent size cracks opening up in the pitch, Kallis hit them a couple of times and beat Watto all ends up.

I'm confident we will make 400 here.

What did we think of Tahir celebrating that catch that made us 2/190 (not sure exactly what we were) tool!!

Commentaters tipped earilier on that Kawaja would be dismissed LBW and were proven correct. Little wonder when the bloke plays across the line at balls pitching on and hitting middle.

Australia all out 296
Lead by 30
0/174 - all out 296. poor effort by the Aussie bats after Watto and Hughesy got us off to a great start.
MJ managed a good 38* to see us past their total but feel we are about 100 short of where we should have been after that start.
South Africa 0/0 2nd innings, bad light stopped play early.
Hopefully the bowlers can have a big day tomorrow, wouldnt want to be chasing much more than 200

Australia 296 all out
Watto- 88- best opening batsman in Australia, clearly not troubled by the injury.
Hughes- 88- Hopefully scoring runs against the worlds best bowling attack will be a boon for him against other nations
Khawaja 12- I do not expect big things from him until he is given a regular chance in the team, rather than a match here, a match there.
Ponting 0- The second Test could be his last innings, or his "perfect day" ala Steve Waugh at Sydney, one way or another, it will be telling.
Haddin 16- Reviewed a plumb lbw call, is on his last legs.
Johnson 38*- The specialist South African all-rounder had a good little hand
Steyn 4/64- The best quick in the world today had a good day.
Imran Tahir 3/55- Some reward for the journey he has taken.
