Great knock, raise that bat B grade Bradman. Has put the pressure right back on the Aussies. No real answers for his flamboyant style.

If he doesn't run out of partners he is a huge chance to break Lara's record. Like Lara's 277 a run out looks the only likely mode of dismissal.

Hasnt played enough cricket recently. Needs a innings or so to get going I think. But when he is up and going he is a great strike weapon.

Well quite simply should not be playing test cricket, had a 6 over spell today where he struggled to get over 130k.

what i saw in the last hour or so worries me, when a guy like Roach can hang around for 90 balls and get 30 odd

Also quite amazed that M Marsh only bowled 3 overs

Says more about the selectors that they dont understand bowling. He needed a few overs under his belt to get some feeling of it really. Its like there asking him to bowl from a cold start. Hard to find you line and length with no build up. I reckon he'll be better in the second dig.

Surely there was an element of doubt over that decision. With only 1 review left Holder probably didn't want to risk it. The onus should be on the fielding side to review those ones, not the batsman.

Is it just me or does it seem like our fast bowlers have had a lot more injuries since they started "managing their workloads". All the previous generation of bowlers just say they need to bowl more & keep bowling. Perhaps science vs muscle memory???

Based on the fact this is the best West Indian team to hit our shores I have decided to name Wristys Windies All-Time XI. Whilst the temptation was just to list the current team this is the best team I have seen in the last 40 years. The only notable inclusion who I didn't see play was Sobers but his stats speak for themselves and give this amazing team a real feel of completion and balance.

1. Gordon Greenidge - simply devastating batter
2. Dezzy Haynes - part of the best opening partnership of my childhood
3. Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards - the master blaster
4. Brian Lara - had a cuttla handy innings in his career
5. Shiv Chanperpaul - weight of numbers and consistency. Great concentration and honesty
6. Clive Lloyd (C) - regarded as their best Captain and brilliant in the covers when young
7. Garry Sobers - handy record
8. Jeff Dujon - could seriously bat and an excellent keeper
9. Malcolm Marshall - broke the record for most consecutive 20+ wicket series
10. Joel Garner - looked unplayable at times and once pissed off the harbour bridge and touched the water
11. Curtly Ambrose - the last of the great devastating Windies quicks

12th man - Roger Harper - early in his career was worlds best fielder

8 fa with no number 11. Hope we bat again and set them 800 :)

Every commentator saying they will follow on, I'm not convinced. I reckon they will want it going 4 days. We will find out a few things of interest if we get this wicket in the next ten minutes.

Fair team, especially when the likes of Holding, Roberts and Richardson can't get a berth
