That is because that is out of the batsmans control. In this case clark has made a choice to take the runs No one will care in the morning but just one of those "spirit of the game" type things.

Normally I totally agree but with India, meh..... Take the runs just to piss them off.

One loss in the last 7 before this test, 3 losses in the last 16. Only 3 draws in amongst that as well.

Last year was terrible, but only the second time (the first was in 1892) that Australia have lost at Adelaide Oval by more than an innings.
