I thought the signature might have said something like "Simon Katich - doing his best to prove me wrong"....

Matthew Sinclairs return to Test cricket appears to be brief with rival batsmen performing well

- Jessie Ryder (Century in first game back after long injury lay off)
- Pater Ingram (scored 85 of an opening partnership of 94)

Great day for the Aussies. Totally dominated.

NZ needed to have a much bigger lead on the 1st innings to have any chance.

Johnson, who has seven wickets for the match and 152 overall, has claimed the record of left-arm bowler to reach the 150-wicket milestone in the least amount of Tests.

The 28-year-old has completed the feat in 34 matches, beating some of cricket's biggest names including Alan Davidson (37) and Wasim Akram (41).

Fair effort from someone who who bowls a cocktail of absolute garbage in between unplayable deliveries.

It is a great effort but Johnson will never ever be regarded in the same company as the two you mentioned and rightly so.

Never say Never Rod.

If he were to take 500 wickets in 100 tests then he would deserve the accolades but i agree he doesn't deserve them yet.

I'm not a fan of Johnson but his first to 150 wickets and the huge amount of bowling he has done in Test cricket deserves a lot of credit. I just wish he wouldn't bowl so much carp. Imagine if he could eliminate that from his game!

regards,
