Hondo, each to their own but Cossie is NOT an opener, he is the type of player in a 4 day game that bats at 4 or 5 when the shine is off the ball and then takes the attack apart (if in form) why oh why do S.A. stuff around with their batting lineup game in, game out, just sacafice a top player in the openers position who has the ability to score big runs batting down the list, perhaps Adcock should have opened, never know it may have actually done him some good.

As for Dizzy, has certainly like Boof stuffed it right up the back tube of those critics :D

Cosgrove opening is a good decision. Only way he'll be able to crack the Australian side in the next couple of years provided he scores a ton of runs.

Yes, I know what you are saying. Maybe opening isn't quite his sweet spot but it wasn't a selector bowling at him

Besides, how many times in the last 2 years has he come in at 2/10 its not as tho our openers have been taking the shine of the ball too many times in recent times.

I am prob being a bit hard on your point because I feel at times Cossie gets more excuses made for him than the other players do. Cossie gets out for a duck (from what sounds like a super ball) and its the selectors fault :? . The next guy gets out for a duck and he's hopeless, should be dropped, etc

It's a pity Matthew Inness was so injury prone as I reckon he could've played a few tests for Australia.
