I can't find anything on the net; the best I can do is find this score from a book published in 1995: SA made 673 against Tasmania in 1987/88.

I don't think we have made any better score since 1995, so this might be it.

Here's another one for you to check Spelly:

How long since a team has scored at least 638 with a top score of 140 or less?

A good team effort!

That would take me ages to look up Ecky!

But it does point to a great team effort - it wasn't only Lehmann who carried the side which is a good sign.

That wicket in the penultimate over of the day was crucial. The pitch is seemingly a road, but if we can collect at least three wickets in the first session, I think we're still a chance.

Though, it looks overly unlikely that an outright win will be achieved here.

Tigerboss - Borgas wasnt left in the team. He was made 12th man for the game in Melb, and then only a late inclusion in this weeks game.
Good job from the kid after plummetting to Sturt's B grade at the end of season 2003/2004.

Finished up as a draw. Opener David Dawson batted throughout the entire day to finish unbeaten on 144 - his highest first class score, and his second century.

Tassie finished the day at 4-291, with Lehmann and Bevan calling play to a close nine overs early as there was absolutely no chance of a result.

SA pick up two points, while Tassie walk away empty handed. Not a bad result for us, considering the pitch was an absolute road, so to pick up the only points on offer was good.
