I blame Tim you can't go in with only one genuine seam bowler the rest are all-rounders part time, Bazley can't bowl.

Dont forget we have Pope to come in and save our season, was just getting warmed up for T20 cricket with his dismissal in NZ.

I imagine Nielsen batting at 4 was so they dont have to change the order once Pope arrives.

Gee we got stitched up by the umpire in Thorntons 18th over with the 2 wides, both a good inch inside the blue line

Absolutely stitched up! Made me think I wish those sorts of decisions could be reviewed or overruled by the third umpire.

Yes in both the IPL and WPL teams can review wides and no balls.

Also Pope has arrived in Adelaide so I assume he'll play next match.

Fabians Allen out for the Strikers for the rest of the BBL with a hamstring strain he injured while fielding on the boundary on Tuesday.

And Ollie Pope will replace Nielsen.

To his defence, his first 3 overs were quite economical, you would want to be a pretty outstanding leggie to be able to bowl the 19th over of an innings, Pope bowls with too much air for this.

Yeah, always hard for a leg spinner (Pope or Boyce) to bowl the 19th over you would think, perhaps Allen would of done it but got injured? Maybe in hindsight it should of been Short bowling it or Overton to try and kill the game before it got down to the wire in the last over? Interesting to see the Strikers tactics in tonight's game come the 19th/20th over.

And a wicket, nice.
Good spell from Pope

Ollie Pope is older than Lloyd Pope but Lloyd looks 40 and Ollie 20.

Good to get a win, still think they need another seamer however I might owe Texting Timmy an apology as Buckingham is injured (anyone know what happened to him?) and Doggett is with the test squad. Edit. I see they signed Liam Haskett good work Tim give him a game.

Well done Lloyd Pope
After getting smashed by Wham bam thank you Sams last game , he bounced back
Ive been his fan for a while, but went into hiding after his hiding to Sams

MOM 3/21 [4] Lloyd Pope =D> , takes character and ability to bowl as he did after the Sams MAuLing
Well bowled
Henry lightning Thornton 1/16 won the match when he got Glen Smassssshwell out , and made it easier for the spinners
