Out of curiosity what is the service like at Adelaide Oval for a Shield game.

Can you get food and drink in general admission or do you have to be a member?

Also what do they charge to get in I now crowds are usually small but do they have people there if people did rock up?

Oh well no Shield final at AO even if the spudbacks make it.

The SA government have double booked AO with the rolling stones concert.

Just move the Stones to Glenelg Oval.

I just recevied info in the post today re next seasons Wolrd Cup and the ticket pricing for games at Adelaide Oval.

1 - Why is this not included in our membership? I know it is some 20+ years since we last hosted but at least back then it was included with your membership
2 - who is going to pay the prices they are asking? $60 for a round robin curry off match between India and Pakistan - who cares, $40 for some 2nd rate game and then to top it off $150 for a 1/4 final. Geez I hope for SACA's sake Australia make that game.

They are kidding themselves with these prices, absolutely ridiculous. The 50 over game has lost it's interest and if they get any where near capacity at these prices for any of these games then people are idiots.

I for one will be handing my ticket in at the end of this season.

This was always going to happen, the ICC handle all ticketing for the World Cup. They set the prices and CA or the SACA cant do anything about it. Thats why we saw empty stadiums in the WI and South Africa for previous cups

1 - the event is longer run by the host national boards - 1999 was the last world cup run this way. all of the world cups since have been ICC controlled events. The ICC run basically all aspects of the competion

2- They are only the prices for category A seating - you can get $20, $40 or $60 tickets for all of the group games and childrens tickets are only $5. That seems pretty reasonable to me, i do however agree that the quarter final prices seem a bit steep.
