Laughlin strolls in and hits a six first ball off Lyon. To be honest don't think losing him to NSW was a great loss.

2/23 off six. Yeah, he's bloody shocking. Was your comment coming from a team balance perspective or are you yet another Lyon knocker? Im amazed at the lack of respect he gets. Even the selectors got it wrong sending out a boy to do a man's job just because he's a better bat in the early Ashes Tests.

I see you're just another Lyon non-knocker. I'm not amazed by his lack of respect whatsoever. He is no great loss. We're not going to lose more games now he's gone. Averages 38 in FC cricket. Respect goes to the best and that's blokes like Warne and MacGill who averaged in the mid-to-late 20s, not just to a bloke who's the best of an average crop.

Therein lies our problem. The Australian public and in turn the selectors are trying to find a new Warne, Gilchrist and Hayden. They are simply freaks of nature. Yes we dominated the game but we need to select the best talent in the country and nurture it. I think picking Agar in the first couple of Ashes tests this year was mistake. Sure his batting nearly won us a test.

Dan Cullen was once touted as a top prospect. Look where he is now. Almost 29 and no longer plays First Class cricket

The only problems I have with the new Ryobi Cup format are:

1. The televising rights given to Gem, after the great job Foxtel did last season
2. The games played in one state of Australia.
3. Games being played in early morning time slots.

I seriously doubt if I will even see one ball be bowled in the Ryobi Cup this season

wish CA would stop messing with the Format this is at least the 3rd major format change in recent years and none of the changes have ever worked.

They would want to have big numbers for their big bash tournament because if it is anything like the 20/20 Champions league there is no bastard there watching England has seen crowd numbers drop in recent times as well.
