Shane Watson
This is quite possibly the most brutal first day first session batting by an Australian in England since 1902
The great one Victor Trumper hammered a hundred in a first session of day 1 test match at Old Trafford.
Trumper went on to make 104 off 115 balls that July day all those years ago

111 years later Shane Watson has hammered the England bowling attack

Lunch
AU 1/112
Rogers 21[87]
Watto 80 in 77 balls
His first 15 runs was awful
His last 50 runs has been awesome

At last Watto had some luck
Given not out LBWatson early on
The ball hit leg, so had the umpire given him it would have been seeeeeya later

I think Pups in for a couple of very interesting years to finish his career.

Don't think after this series his going to get to much nice full stuff from quick bowlers around the world, especially because of the way he has handled Broad, his bad back and the fact he hit a billion runs against what ended up being a very 'friendly' saffer tactics
