You know Australian cricket is in the doldrums when Finch can play a series...
Politicians kissing babies for good luck,
TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.
You don't need no golden cross to tell you wrong from right,
The world's worst murderers were those who saw the light.

Hopefully we have seen the last of the worst opener Australia has had in ODI's ever.
Batting average of 15, had a couple of good chances (getting starts of 35 & 28 in the 3rd and 4th ODI's), and screwed up royally.

With Watson and Warner fit and available, there's our openers, now goodbye Mr Finch.

Wow- a lot of hate for Finchy here. The bloke made runs in both the Ryobi and BBL (which we all demand on here before someone gets picked) and had a good run in the Aussie team (which once again we all whinge about when someone gets 1-2 games then disappears). Unfortunately he hasnt been up to it and I'd expect to see him go back to the Vics and get some form.

Not sure why people are jumping up and down about him when Maxwell is currently in India.

Maxwell 11 games, 2 half centuries in quick time. Can bowl a bit (can also get tonked), but he's at least shown something... Not a great deal, and they certainly shouldn't be dusting off a baggy green, but he's shown that he can play a bit, unlike Finch.

But what did he do to get picked in the first place MP?

Maxwell has absolutely bought wickets, been slapped by a #10 for 4 sixes in a row and had a few ducks too...
