I guess one positive that the above posters might come up with is, every game we play we are getting closer to appointing our new coach ;)

Thanks Days
There are some positives
The signing of Phil Hughes is one of the best things SACA has done this millenium.
Just need to go after another 2-3 gun recruits next season and we will start to see results

Why stop there Jim we should go after 9-10 of Hughes's calibre ;)

If we poach one gun from each state that would be sufficient ;)

Yep lesson to selectors the last gun recruits use got were in there prime age, looking for higher honours than what they were getting at their previous side and had played some decent aus domestic cricket previously. Christian and Hughes have been great gets

Please stick to that criteria over giving captaincy to hacks from other countries who haven't played first class cricket in the last few years

LM Has the ability to put the mockers on our opposition and fire up our bowlers.

While on the subject of recruits, I went to the a session of the last Shield match v QLD, and could only count two South Australian natives in the side: Callum Ferguson and Peter George (who did not bowl in the second innings)

Sayers and Richardson are the two biggest positives out of the match for me, both bowled really well, although they need to flatline the idea of Richo batting at three.

Trav is a big positive, just needs to cut a few rash shots out and he will be destined for a good career.

Trav is always going to get out playing rash shots unfortunately, that is the way he plays. Even in the second innings he gave chances and nicked a few etc. He is an instinctive see the ball, hit the ball batter.

The big positives IMO are:
The team while having poor sessions, are showing they can be dominant in others which are giving us chances to win the game - previously we were rolled in 3 days
Travs continued develpment as an 18yo
Kelvin Smith waiting in the wings and belting 170 in a futures game
Cooper coming back into form with a few 100s in both Grade and Futures cricket
