Not really, means I'd probably have to deal with people like you.
Don't associate SMAC with the Grade Cricket Committee please Pipers.

We weren't shown $1000/pa !!! We were told an "ultimate" membership would be about the same cost as the current SACA/SANFL memberships combined.
Not that I actually want an ultimate membership anyway, but that is beside the point.

I pointed out the cost and was told people would be selfish to put their families budget over attending afl games.

The projections for income etc were pure speculation, based on undeliverable assumptions such as 35K+ crowds, more internatonal cricket and regular Socceroos games at the venue.
Ever wonder why the key funder was the government??? Private enterprise wouldn't buy that type of horsesh!t.
Proud to be amongst the 18% who voted no!

I did mention the price increase and was told it was irrelevant and people would have to be pretty selfish to not go due to price.

Ah, you were talking about the market research survey which was conducted, the results of which allegedly informed the proposal put to members for the vote.
A few things...
1) a market research survey is somewhat different from a vote
2) the results of that survey were never made public
3) the estimated prices quoted in the pre-vote marerials were exactly as I quoted above, and at no time was $900-$1000 mentioned
4) in my response to the survey, I very strongly indicated that any increase to prices was not acceptable to me, given I was really only interested in the cricket
And here is an interesting article: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/na ... 6464309181

I can't recall the exact price but the full option was a ridiculous figure and was most certainly more that currently purchasing a SACA and Ultimate SANFL memberships combined.
