Nathan Lyon will be looking forward to bowling on this pitch with the spin and bounce so far.
Some very loose shots resulted in the dismissal of most of the batsmen.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Disgraceful running between wickets by Starc.
Just coasting to the strikers end for a 3rd run and not watching the ball. Run Out by about 2 inches.
Would make a great video to show kids everything NOT to do running between wickets.

Typical of where the Windies are at the moment.
Play a few good sessions, get on top and then go missing.

Brathwaite caught at 1st slip by HARRIS  off of Hilfenhaus for a QUACK
Brathwaite is out of his class at this level, again poking at a ball he had no need to play.Harris at 1st slip juggled a straight forward chance, grasping it comfortably after it popped out at his 1st attempt.
Harris was then promptly removed from the slips and sent to mid off whilst Ponting took his place.
Very strange indeed. :?

PONTING
13288 Dravid
13289 Ponting
Ricky now the 2nd highest run scorer in Test cricket
Whatta legend

WEST INDIES
The line up in this test has played 277 Tests between them
140 Chanderjackpotjimpaul
137 The rest of the team
24 Sammy is the 2nd highest in experience

RAMPAUL
Just b4 stumps Rampaul played a sweep that smashed into Ed Cowans wrist
Cowan had to leave the field for treatment
Soon after Hilfenhaus bowled a short one at Rampaul
Rampaul turned his head, didnt play a shot and was hit in the helmet
Payback !!!
Still mystifies me how WI obtained a leg bye for this , should be a dead ball

WADE
His skipper recently said in the press that Brad Haddin will still come back into this side
Matthew Wade made this comment a few days ago
"" Im filling in for Hadds- he was suppose to play here in these Test matches""
"" If the selectors go to Brad... I wouldnt be too disappointed.""
'' Im only young so Ive got a lot of time to learn and hopefully I can get better and better as it goes.""
Ahem .....
As long as Matthew has a hole in his arse he must be the number 1 keeper
WADE 106[146]
DAY 1 he batted like Chris Hartley 22*[77]
DAY2 he batted like Adam GilCHRIST 84 [69]
Matty has several gears, he can defend and he can punish
Brad has often only got 1 gear , 4th gear

MATCH
AU 328
WI 8/165
34*[110] Chanderjackpotjimpaul
24* [33] Rampaul

This will be an easy victory to Australia

Haddin has added another gear to his game Mal, reverse. He's been stuck there for 18 months and he's gaining speed at a very rapid rate. Should get his Baggy Green framed now cos he should never have another opportunity to wear it again.

Taking evasive action eliminates the dead ball.

I'm not sold on Cowan yet as being our best opening option, I'd sooner see Watto up there and strengthen our middle order, Watto is a proven opener whether we'd prefer him on the middle order or not. Number 3 in our current list is quite often practically an opener anyway.
I know it's test cricket but I think Cowan bats too slow, I'd rather have an anchorman at 3 or 4, I'd like to see us be a bit more aggressive from the get-go and put the pressure on the fielding side from the start the way Langer and Hayden used to punish the bad ball from the start and make it easier for the middle order.

I thought he's been stuck in neutral for some time, he doesn't mind dropping a gear when behind the stumps or missing one all together.

I cant come to grips when someone gets hit in the helmet and gets a Leg Bye
Akin to someone being hit on the pad and getting a Helmet Bye

As I posted similarly once b4, in the future batsmen will wear a super substance ricocheting helmet, and head butt cricket balls for boundaries

Getting runs for being hit on the helmet does not make sense
