Bravo not so lucky this time, caught by Hussey in the gully off Watto after another streaky flash outside off stump. 4/240
Whether the Windies can post a competitive score now hinges on Chanderpaul and others sticking with him.

With a flourish of runs, Shiv brings up his 50.

Down the pitch to Lyon and it's over the rope for 6
4/285 Deonarine 21* Shiv 56*.

Deonarine OUT !!!! Terrible 1/2 pull/leg glance nothing shot and it goes straight up in the air to be safely caught by Wade. Looked streaky the whole time he was there.

5/285.

Chanderpaul is a sure thing to be not out at the end of the innings, just doesn't look like getting out.

Baugh looks terrible, 4 thru slips 2nd ball. Dropped in slips (tough chance to ponting) 3rd ball.

RAIN delay.
5/291 (105.3 overs)
Baugh 4*
Chanderpaul 58* (116 balls) Scoring at exactly 3.00 rpo compared to the teams r/r of 2.76.
This even after going 40 minutes without scoring.

Interesting to note that Chanderpaul so noted for his slow scoring holds the record for the 4th FASTEST century in Test history.

Edwards out slogging a terrible ball from Warner, who now has two for the innings.

9-421, Chanderpaul on 95.

I think last tour the bloke batted for 18 hours before we get him out, see if he can match that.

And Chanderpaul gets his 25th 100. His 5th against Australia.

Behind only Sobers and Lara in terms of numbers of hundreds scored for the Windies (3 left handers!). What a legendary little crab.

Looks like still a good batting track at the moment.

0/35 (8)

Cowan 12* (26)
Warner 19* (22)

Bishoo the leg spinner comes into the attack.

8)

Finishes 103* n.o.

Fortunate to survive an LBW referral when about 85 off of Lyon.
looked out to me but hawkeye showed that 50.01% of the ball was hitting the outside part of the middle of off stump whilst 49.99% was hitting the inside part of the middle of off stump.
In simple terms it was 99.99% certain it was out but under the DRS guidelines the original not out decision remained.

Watching the replay this morning, didn't see Warner land 1 ball. 10 overs of Full tosses and 1/2 trackers and gets rewarded with 2 wickets. Guess thats why they call cricket a funny game. I read in todays Sunday mail that Warner wants to seek out Warne for advice and become a front line leg spinner. My advice is to not to waste valuable batting practice time.

When was the last time the Windies had a scorecard in Test cricket that shows ALL 11 batsmen made double figures ? many years i would've thought.

Aust pretty fortunate to be 0 wkts down after plenty of flashing and missing in the 1st few overs.

Ponting run out (by Watson) 4. By an absolute mile.

Tried to run Clarke out too. Terrific cricketer but geez he loses it sometimes.

Really good innings by Clarke, very strange throwing it away by trying to hit it over long off's head.

5/248 at stumps, almost avoided the follow on. The next session is crucial, lose wickets quickly and we'll be fighting to save the test. Keep them and the draw will look very likely.
