If you back the draw, does that also cover a QLD win? Draw would be very short though, admittedly.

You would think so as the home side wins the shield with a draw, and it's the same with a tie as we saw with the 1 day final between SA and Tas the other week.

From CA..... "Queensland bowled well this morning on a tacky pitch. The ball probably did a bit too much if anything and they had a couple of close lbw and run-out chances missed. They'll need to keep plugging away and take the chances when they do arrive"

That opener who batted all day for bugger all bats like me. Strangles the shit out of the blade, got nothing on the off side and scores his runs on the on side but a good defence. Once the Bulls worked out to put it wide of offstump and strangle the non existent footwork his already slow scoring dried up even further. Doolan who was batting at three and looking quite good succumbed to the pressure and then McDermott snapped up Ponting cheaply.

Cosgrove has a had injury and Kruger's average is about 6 this season. This was the 'mighty Tasmanian batting line up' the commentators spoke of today? A half decent line up would have put the pressure on the Bulls who had Magoffin and at time Hopes really struggling. Once Cowan and Ponting were out they had nothing else in the shed.

I didn't watch the last session because I didn't have enough Coffee in the house to endure another sixty run session. In a bowlers day Harris was unlucky early and McDermott showed real promise.

regards,

REB

Wouldnt write Tassie off yet. If they can milk another 50 runs it could be game on.
Dont rate many of the Bulls batters and if Big Bird gets on a roll I wouldnt be surprised to see Tassie with a first innings lead. Going to be hard to win outright but you never know
