This was mentioned on ABC Digital last night after the SA v Vics game by Mark Ridgeway. He said he knew who it was and its a certainty to happen. When he was talking, Paine came straight to mind.

Smith a better spinner then we have now, and our batting is horrid,so he is a good fit. Why not let him do it! Klinger will enjoy not having to do it and will just concentrate on batting!

I have not bagged Darren Berry yet.
It is hard to do better than he has with the available cattle.

Off-season recruiting is one aspect of what will help us improve, the other is fixing our debacle of a grade system.

I am not convinced that a specialist fielder is the right choice to bring in.

Off season recruiting?

Do we want more duds that cant make it in their own state, and just keep our kids out of the side?

Decent recruits are fine.
We just keep selecting the average ones.
Any one of Forrest, Birt, Cowan or Rimmington would of fitted in nicely

Birt, Cosgrove, Cowan, Ryan Harris and many others. One we let go, three were certainly chances if we were dinkum.

Hopefully the players Berry targets are of that ilk, and not Edmonson, Blizzard type players.
