Upon reaching 28* Clarke had amassed a mighty 143 @ 8.4 during his innings this year.

I have been booing ponting for years, usually by myself though (until recently).

This was half the crowd though, unusual occurrence.


The half booing were Aussies, the half cheering were Poms, knowing that there wouldnt be many runs scored whilst Clarke was there...

Bit unaustralian booing the captain of your national team IMO.

Good to see him top score yesterday, looked solid and got out just trying to lift the tempo with 10 overs to go!

Greg Chappell was "booed all the way to the middle" in the ODI that followed the infamous underarm incident:
