Darren Lehman was dominating for SA long before he got to the big league, also andy bichel was dominating for Queensland and could only manage to be 12 or 13 man alot of the time because of the amazing bowlers in his time, fair enough that the batting line up is struggling at the moment but picking hodge in my oppinion would only be a quick fix, not good for us in the long run taking his age in to consideration, i say out with the old in with the new

Yeah but in Bichs and Boof's day we actualy had a side.

I find it interesting that Shane Warne has never come out and spruiked for him. Not from my recollection anyway.

I cannot understand why someone has not come out and said what is pretty common knowledge about Hodge. He is allegedly a pretty ordinary bloke, not well regarded within the Aussie side and our skipper does not get on well with him. Our skip has obviously a lot of say about selection, so you will not see Hodge whilst the Punter is there.

Bump.

After his last call about Baggy Greens being given away, and about the thousands of runs he made and got constantly ignored...

Also in the 30 man squad for the 2011 world cup. cant wait until he starts moaning about missing out on the final 15 man squad.

I read an interesting article in the sportsbeat the other day where Hodge ridiculed the Aussie Selectors after dropping Mitchell Johnson after the 1st test in Brisbane and the picking him again 2 matched later in Perth without playing a game and not having any form at all.

He also mentioned about the selections of our spinners, with Doherty averaging 48 in Shield cricket and Micheal Beer averaging 40 and both being selected to be our frontline spinners. Hodge said he himself averages 41 as a part time spinner.

He also went into bat for Dave Hussey, who has a very good First class average, is a consistant performer at state level and Hodge believes the selectors should be picking him on a consistant basis.

I enjoyed reading Hodge speak his mind on things cause he's pretty much on the mark with it and good on him for doing it. He's only really saying what every other player is thinking IMO.
