Is the same Carters that will have to leave the state of Victoria in pursuit of playing First Class cricket, is a well renowned keeper as well as good batter. Can't see him getting the gig over Wade, so he would make a fantastic replacement in a year or two for choco and in the meantime he can open the batting for us at shield level. I am sure our next coach "Chuck" is all over that.

Why would you retire when your side is not in a very good position?

Re: Futures League

One of the most widely cited contributors to Australian cricket's sharply declining fortunes over the past few summers, the Futures League, will be drastically overhauled for next season.

Age restrictions limiting the number of players over the age of 23 to three per team will be relaxed to allow six players over 23, while matches will be returned to four days' length rather than three. Restrictions on the number of overs in each innings - 96 in the first innings, 48 in the second - have also been thrown out.

A positive move from CA, those restrictions were a joke and far from a situation that could be used to nurture FC players
