Christian and Borgas partnership has yielded 81 from 78 so far. Certainly has given the bowlers something to bowl at.

•2009-11-04 17:09
Over 41.4: Harwood to Christian, FOUR, full toss smashed over mid wicket this time
•2009-11-04 17:09
Over 41.3: Harwood to Christian, FOUR, full on the legs and whipped through square leg for another bounday, fantastic batting
•2009-11-04 17:08
Over 41.2: Harwood to Christian, FOUR, beautiful cover drive pierces the field, great shot

That certainly helps.

Harwood has had a stinker of a day 1/64 off 7.4 so far.

Next ball gets out hitting it down the throat of deep long on.

Good partnership, hopefully the others can continue on the good rate of runs.

Yeah, with the adrenaline flowing, he couldn't help to go for a slog, turns out to be a slice of the ball in the air.

Now 7/218 after 45.

Good recovery by the Redbacks but wotever they end up with, it will be about 100 short of what they need to contain the Vic batting line up. :(

7/238 with 12 balls remaining.

Borgas needs 12 to get a well deserved century.

A big wicket from Tait, David Hussey bowled for 8, two out of the three balls before he hit for four then a bit of away movement does it.

3/86, now if we could get rid of Hodge....

Just can't get the breakthrough to find the tail here. Game over I think, Hodge and McDonald look set to win by themselves. Probably a late consolation wicket.

Congratulations once again to the selectors
The last Franger game we played in v QL , we all witnessed one of the all time great spells of bowling
Peter George 10 overs 0/18
Tonight we replace him with a bowler who averages 100+ with the ball in the Franger Cup
Its been one of those weeks....

Footnote
If Peter George pulled up sore from the 4 day game v VIC I retract my comment

Once again
Quinney looked ordinary v Tait
The Dave gave a look at all 3 stumps to Tait
And Cuzzzzzzin Hodge beats us again

For those who have written off Tait you need to rethink heez almost back

VI 3/211 [36]

I said the same thing Mal. I hope for the selectors sake that he is sore or injured because it looks like a stinker of a decision.

Pattison of all people has 2/9 off 6   .

Pattison will end his career having played Test Cricket

Vics by 5 wickets
HODGE 114*[112]
WADE 10* [11]
FINCH 4 Im still to see him in full flight ....perhaps when he faces Bird or Swann he will excel...

WADE is a player and a half
Was hit in the head by Tait
Next over he played a couple of cuts and drives for boundarys
Just another brilliant batting keeper

4. Welcome 'home'
DARREN Pattinson's story is one of the most unbelievable. Two weeks shy of his 29th birthday, and after just 11 first-class games, the Victorian quickie was plucked to represent his country last year. But it wasn't Australia that came calling, but England - the country of his birth. The British press had a field day when Pattinson was picked, and although he performed credibly, claiming two top-order wickets in South Africa's first innings, he was dumped back to anonymity almost as quickly as he escaped it. England captain Michael Vaughan said in the aftermath of the 10-wicket thrashing that Pattinson's selection was ''confused'' and had affected team harmony. Pattinson agreed, saying he wouldn't have chosen himself if he were a selector. ''It was a left-field selection. If I was in [the selectors'] situation, I wouldn't have picked me to play for England,'' he said. Pattinson's brother, James, has represented Australian at under-age level, but if he makes it all the way, he'll presumably be wearing a green cap, not a blue one.
