3/42 Harris, Smith & Klinger all failed

Need a partnership here, batting looks bloody thin.....

Deitz got sacked and I think he is still only 34. Think the coach didn't want him and hasn't thought enough about it as there is no succession plan in place in case this happened. Would of been good him coming in at 7 today get us out the poo.

Deitz is playing cricket in NZ. He wasn't worth keeping around, let's just say not a good guy to have around some of the young fellas. A bad example.

Cosgrove and Cooper putting on a bit of a stand now

3/67

Cosgrove 17*
Cooper 25* (22)

Need something big from both of these two, not much batting to come after them.

Even though Manou's absence has caused it, I like the look of Dan Christian batting @ 7. I think this is where he needs to be all of the time.

Over 18.4: McDonald to Cooper, no run, OUT, plays across the line to a straight one and he's gone

Joy.

4/127
Cosi 52*
Obrien 17*

You blokes reckon our batting looks a bit thin, have a look at our bowling attack:
Haberfield, George, Christian, Obrien, Bailey and probably with Cosgrove.

Yeah agree. More worried about the bowling than the batting.

Over 35.2: McDonald to Cosgrove, no run, OUT, full ball on the legs flicked away in the air straight down the throat of fine leg. What a waste

Crap.

Story of every innings of his career. Looks a million bucks then falls cheaply. So much talent, so little persistance.

Brilliant. One day he will learn how to bat for longer than a session.

Only a few minutes earlier the text commentator guy said it is the best he's seen Cosgrove play for a long time... said he was very patient.. but I've seen that many times before.

Oh well lads, enjoy the time spent at the top of the table as it won't last.

He is 25. Scored nearly 5000 runs at a tick over 42 in first class cricket. Also, when he gets over 50 he turns it into a ton about 40% of the time. I think he will score a ton or two this year.

He is frustrating though.
