Hayden
Jaques
Ponting
Hussey
Clarke
Symonds
Gilchrist
Noffke
Lee
Clark
Tait

If Hayden doesn't pull up M.Hussey to open and D.Hussey up to no.5 with Clarke at 4

That would be my team.

I wouldn't move M. Hussey from number 4 though. Katich to come in to open for a one off game.

I wouldn't move Huss either. Would you use Katich or maybe Chris Rogers?

I'd go with Katich given the form he is in. Also the fact he wouldn't have "first test nerves" for a one off opportunity.

Ive only got one thing to say PLAY 4 FAST BOWLERS
The best chance for Australia to win this test match in 3 or 4 days is to play 4 quicks
If they want it to go 5 days play a spinner
Nothing against Georgie however.
As for the batting line up, we could pick Adcock and still beat them

Only 10 more sleeps

I think that the only change worth anything would be Hogg out, Tait in. For the Perth game only. I would really like to see Johnson get a chance on the Perth wicket.

Symonds & Clarke both proved that today that they are a very viable spin option should Hogg not be picked for the Perth test.

Other problem is if Hayden doesn't pull up for the next test, which I think would be highly doubtful. I can't see any other obvious replacement other than Brad Hodge. He deserves to be picked as an opener if Hayden is ruled out.

100% agree, go with 4 fast bowlers and leave the spin to Roy & Pup. If Haydos unfit not sure who to bring in for the 1 test, Hodge/Katich/Rogers/S.Marsh

If we play Johnson again can we get a guarentee from Punter that he will set fields which will enable Johnson to attack the stumps and make the batsmen especially tail play.
I don't think Johnson is totally at fault for the way he bowled in this test.

NFC, you were wrong! Oh wait...

Anyway, here's my REAL team.

Jaques
Hayden
Ponting
Hussey
Clarke
Symonds
Gilchirst
Lee
Johnson
Clark
Tait

Cya Hogg, with Simmo and Clarke having the ability to take wickets with their spin bowling you're no longer equired.

Can you explain to me how the field settings forced Johnson to bowl a metre outside off stump to RP Singh and Sharma??

Easily pleased

Nah, stick to your guns. I remember years ago copping plenty of grief about having Steve Waugh as my favourite cricketer. The "Waugh Waugh what is he good for" days. Well i was very well rewarded for sticking by him. Doubt you'll be as lucky but i admire your loyalty.

OK what about average 55 in Pura Cup cricket
Apart from Kumble he would face bowlers in our comp that are as good as the Indian attack

70* off 40 balls at the end of the innings

Might as well bring Cameron White in as well, he's alright at the 20/20 joke cricket.
