After taking the Redbacks to equal Ryobi ladder leaders with a knock of 55* and bowling figures of 4-29 (still not man of the match), I feel the need to bump this thread.

As I mentioned on another thread, he will take a little time to adjust to 4 day cricket as he has been playing T20 international cricket and no lead up 4 day games. He will end up being very good for the Redbacks

Dont think anyone ever questioned his ability in the shorter forms of the game
But he is definately a spud at Shield level, if he wasnt skipper he wouldnt be getting a game at shield level, Adcock got sacked with far superior stats

Im talking about Shield stats, Botha has been totally out of his depth at Shield level
Botha is averaging about 13 with the bat and about 50 with the ball

Botha has only played a few Shield games, give him time

The bottom line is the Redbacks are performing.. that's all that matters, and i dont care if he doesnt make a run or take a wicket, as long as the team are doing well with his as skipper!
