Another great call. Me and my bro never miss a Ryobi game, so we feel a big part of the win.

It's a joke that we had almost 28k tonight and yet for the Ryobi game we'll likely get 2k at max.

Should have given out free tickets to everyone that walked through the gates tonight.

overloaded, I'm about as much a cricket traditionalist as there is, so I understand what you're saying.

What you're saying is absolute crap.

I went tonight for the first time to a T20. I didn't care much for the razz and effects, but the game was great, the skill level pretty high and the entertainment and the cricket was great.

I thought NSW were pretty keen to win the silverware and I'm pretty sure SA and about 28,000 there were ecstatic with the win, along with a huge number who watched or listened.

Mate, I'm older than a lot (most) on here and I'm grateful to you.

Grateful that I enjoyed the game and that I haven't turned into a grumpy old sod like you.

PS: Bayman, are you sure they weren't Westies new cheer squad :(

Just stating that this is not classed as 'silverware', but maybe we are that carp that only SA are allowed to call it silverware because we are so carp at the normal format of 1 day and 4 day cricket?

It's CRAP you idiot. A carp is a fish. CRAP is what you're posting....

Well done the Redbacks...better then a kick in the nuts, unless you're overloaded who'd probably enjoy that.....

NS 153[20]
WARNER 21[16]
SMITH 43[35]
HENrebIQUES 41[34]
ROHRER 15[8] the only batsman to score very quickly, the 3 highest scorers just didnt quite dominate
RICHARDSON 3/31[4] STARting to STAR
OB 1/20[4] is a very very good 20/20 bowler

SA 2/155[17.3]
KLINGER 30[18] just what was needed and to think Cosgrove opened last year and the Max Machine missed out
DOC HARRIS 48*[39] the anchor man, exactly what was required, S/R of 123 well below his average s/r
SLAMcam BORGAS 62*[39] Im really glad he fired in this game and played a blinder

SlamCAM
A turning point of the season
POLLARD went home
MARSH pulled a hamstring, THE FERG took his spot in the AU ODI team
That gave BORGAS a spot in the team, and a spot up in the order, batting 4 instead of 6-7 where he has batted at times
I said he should be captaining SA a few seasons ago, but he ended up out of the team !
SlamCAM had a shoulder injury that thwarted his progress, has been in and out of the team in 20/20. o/d. and SS games ever since
Just hope he really kicks on from this

What a great game that was by the Redbacks, with MANY contributors

DC - was the best in the field and not far behind in the bowling stakes
O'Brien - to bowl a maiden in the first six overs was simply amazing and his four overs were great
Richardson - the pressure of being the only seam bowler (DC and allrounder) in his third game was nothing for the youngster who after a couple of wides and boundaries early bowled beautifully hitting the top of off stump twice
Rashid/Lyon - did their bit, especially in the LAST 5 OVERS, WHERE WE WON THE GAME TAKING 5/31
Maxxie Klinger - got us off to a good start, plus some great captaincy (there were a number of times we didnt have five outside the circle and it was great to see)
Doc/Cam - were clinicnal in their performance, they did just what we needed (score at about 7 an over and keep wickets)

I was very surprised that Clarke kept so many fielders on the fence

GO THE REDBACKS!!!

Don't forget that last years captain felt the need to open the innings as well.

Brilliant night on the Hill at Adelaide Oval. Great win by the mighty Redbacks. To chase a total after NSW got off to a flier was fantastic. Finally SA wins something in cricket!

Overloaded you are a ******* whinging idiot, whether it is the cricket forum or not you are always having a cry about something. I am stoked that SA winning the Big Bash has caused you so much grief.

Also to your question earlier, yes it was silverware!

Great win Redbacks!!

My aplogies
I had thought Cosgrove had opened in a game last year
The inference is that Cosgrove got a game b4 Klinger last season

Typical - first Redbacks home T20 game I miss since 2007/08 (thanks work) and they win the bloody championship.

Just finished watching the game. Shaky start in the field but finished strong. Shaky start with the bat but finished strong. The last couple of overs was fantastic to watch - especially Henriques last over.

Great to see the Redbacks break their title drought. Hopefully they carry the momentum into the Ryobi Cup and Sheffield Shield and finish those seasons well.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Go the Jellys!

I think they get about $140K for winning the Big Bash, they've got more than $1 million coming to them for last year's semi-final performance in the Champions League and another chance in the CL again later this year hopefully going all the way for $2.5 million.
