I was planning to donate some, but didn't once see anybody collecting money, nor did any of the people I was with.

As for the T20, good result, but I doubt I'll attend another T20 considering the type of people it seems to attract, more trouble last night than at the 4 test matches I attended combined.

I won't be attending another game at Adelaide Oval in the members again if they enforce the dress code like they did last night (same goes for the Test too). I lost count of the amount of incorrect clothing allowed in. Why bother having it if it is not adhered to :?

yes it does because the time I go the break the rules is the time I won't be allowed in! It is either all in or all out IMHO.

Don't worry I'm not the only one complaining. Overheard some other member in his late 20's (only slightly older than me) bellowing rather loudly about the questionable attire of a female in the members bar

My 16 year old brother also commented on this, apparently board shorts and ripped jeans are both fine now.

He was also disgusted that people sat in the members were making comments such as ''f**k off pommie c**ts'' and that people around him were trying to bait him and getting quite abusive and in his face when an England wicket fell, he wasn't even wearing any England gear, a few people had just picked up that he was applauding when England played a good shot, generally if I'm sat in the members i applaud a good shot regardless of which team is batting, obviously that's not a common thing at T20.

I've been in the MCC and SCG members reserves over the last 2 weeks and I can honestly say they are a class above.

Why is it that she was allowed in wearing something with the length of footy shorts in the 80's yet the men must wear collared tops and dress shorts? Ripped clothing of any sort is a definite no yet I saw several male and female patrons with such attire

SACA had no hesitation in terminating the contract of their long standing cleaning contractor yet they can't seem to police a policy that has been in place for several years and is highlighted each season that what is acceptable and what is not.

The biggest problem IMO is there isn't enough SACA staff around the members reserve and particularly on the gates, its all welso staff on the gates, interstate its employees of the associations on the gates scanning tickets and enforcing the dress code, its their job to know and enforce things like the dress code, welso staff are security, regardless of if you put a red shirt on them rather than a yellow one, they'd care very little about what people are wearing as it wouldn't be overly high on their list of duties.

there you go Sam you have hit the nail on the head. But I seem to recall that the first year they had it, several Adelaide Socialites made the social pages for being refused entry to the members. Now you seem to be extremely unlucky to be stopped for such indiscretions

Tackling the big issues again here on SAFooty...

An organisation of 120 people cannot man the gates, surely? The security company are given the guidelines, they should be held accountable to them.

Note Australian selectors..... the coaches at state level are already understanding the need to take the pace off the ball. CATCH UP!

Pi$$ Lee and or Tait off and bowl medium paced blokes and spinners who can win you games.

Note: Lee 41 and Tait 40 off their collective 8 overs. The difference perhaps?

Tait has that X factor though, and last night wasnt his night, two dropped catches early, im sure his figures wouldve looked a hell of a lot better.

I think the lads are just after some consistency upon entry.
I mean if you are a member, and many have to wait quite a few years for the privilege, unless you have greased and torn jeans or walk in wearing only budgie smugglers they should relax a bit.

The collared top refusal is a joke,, if a person has a nice top without a collar let them in FFS.

You can also demand that the security company enforce the guidelines and if they don't then show them the door just like they did to their cleaning contractor.

If they are not going to be enforced then why have a dress code at all????
