Hogg can only get wickets off the tailenders or off a batsmen that is going for the slog. Good on him, but I don't think it should change the selectors minds, he still gotta go.

Looks like Australia might get a little bit of a bat, Gilchrist should open.....

Hayden and Gilchrist should open, Ponting first drop, then Symonds, or maybe even bat Symonds at 3.

This should be the line-up for the last innings off the Adelaide Oval Test:

1. Gilchrist
2. Hayden
3. Ponting
4. Symonds
5. Clarke
6. Jaques
7. Hussey
8. Hogg
9. Lee
10. Johnson
11. Clark

If the fairytale of Australia being able to have a crack at a Twenty/20 type win, Ponting's injury would probably preclude him from going the tonk. He won't be able to force the pace.

Now India have declared, going by the rules there is still 15 overs to be bowled, has me very perplexed, what we change the rules from game to game, if I was Ponting I would have said to Kumble stuff it we are going to have a bat for 13 overs :D

very sad to see him go, but, its the right time and that was great how every single person at the Adelaide Oval, players, spectators, officials, etc, gave him a great send off he deserved, what a true champion.
