How ironic that the stars lost via a captaincy mistake.

Given it was a free hit is there any reason why the batsman wouldnt just run and not even try to hit the ball, if it hits the stumps they get byes and bails are off so wouldnt get run out at that end

Why?
They would never of made 200+ in a million years.
As soon as it was reduced to 13 overs Perths chance increased greatly

How so? They scored over 10 an over. Go for 20 overs and they probably would have still won. Some shite bowling and great hitting.

Totally agree. Marsh batted very well Stars dropped catches and bowled poop, it has nothing to do with D/L. PS would have coasted to 187 off 18. from where they finished they would have needed 44 off 5 overs

I'm a Perth fan and I still think Perth were favoured
U can't compare chasing 200 off 20 to 130 off 13

Unless maybe u only had 6/7 wickets?

Anyway who cares

Can't believe I doubted them.

To be honest. Pretty shitty batting by stars to only get 3 off the last 2 overs.

Perth had Hussey and Voges in. The best team won. And still had North and Katich.
