Not a huge call but i have no doubt he will play for the Australian test team at some point in the future. His a class act.

Drew made 100 in his last game. Missed the final game of last season due to concussion protocols after being hit in the head at silly mid on in the Grand Final win with West Torrens. Handed Bailey Capel his Redbacks debut.

He got a phone call at WT training last week by James Pyke to tell him he had not been picked. Was really pissed off. One of the reasons given was he did not play the final game last year that they won  He reminded them he was out with concussion. Why does last years form have anything to do with picking the first team for this season, should be totally irrelevant anyway!

It’s the redbacks mate!
Nothing makes sense and hasn’t for 20 years.

James Pyke is a flog and what an absolute crap excuse in saying a reason is because he didn't play in the last game. I've seen him at some games strutting around in his Redbacks shirt which is an embarrassment in itself. Why would he think he's god's gift when he's involved with a piss poor organisation that has finished last 5 years' in a row. He's probably the one having to make the phone call because Nielsen is too gutless to do it himself.
I wouldn't be surprised if Drew ends up telling them to shove it and move interstate. He's yet another example in a long line of a talented locals being destroyed by Nielsen etc.
Hey Eags - on another note, is there any truth to the story going around that our esteemed Head of High/Low Performance carried on like a very ugly parent at the WT flag celebrations last season because his son wasn't keeping and he technically "assaulted" the WT coach?

MC - think both Drew and Spencer Johnson could be elsewhere next year. QLD very keen on Spencer, was signed by Brisbane Heat after playing in the 20/20 comp up there, both Darren Lehmann and Andy Bichel were saying who is this kid, why is he not playing - bowls 145 km/hr left arm, signed him up straight away. If Redbacks don't play him he will be a Bull next year, and Drew has similar interest. We prefer to sign up rejects from other States than the guys they have put time into since State Under 15's

Not sure on the Tim Nielsen rumour, had not heard that. Know there was pressure put on coach to play the son as keeper. and caused lots of tension. As usual they get their way as Warren Peters retired after the premiership, knees are shot.

More importantly has he got what it takes to play in the BBL?

Geezus that's crap. Crap decision and crap excuse. The folks involved with coaching/performance etc. in the Redbacks at the moment are a factor in our poor performances, IMO.

Drove past KRO around lunchtime and the covers had been taken off and the pitch was starting to be prepared.
It's going to be a greentop which is understandable. However, what is laughable is that they are using the easternmost pitch (i.e. closest to the city side) which means the boundary on that side is about 35 metres!!

The real Lance Morris couldn’t bowl his own mum out.
Does he still play TDK?

 Went on a cricket trip to Melb with Lance, blew all his money on lap dances the first night and had to stay in his room for pretty much the rest of the trip.

Not on this green top, surely

We have very long tail, Wes Agar normally bats 11 and at No. 8. Does not help when all four quicks can't bat
