It was a poor second innings that lost it for them, only managing 160. They had two batsman retire hurt though with captain Mushfiqur Rahim copping a blow to the head from a Tim Southee bouncer and was taken to hospital as a precaution. Kane Williamson led the Kiwi's home with his 15th test century.

But Cook is still playing

I'm not a huge fan of ex captains still being in the team

Has it ever really worked successfully, it never seemed to work with teams like India, Pakistan, West Indies who have tended to have it a lot
