Agree with Doolan. A first class average of 36 isn't ideal for your Test #3

It's painful to watch someone like Doolan who is so far out of his depth.

Hughes and Watson are the best batsmen outside of this top 6. Both are better than Doolan. 7-2 now in our past 9 tests...we had a bad game but it's no crisis that's for sure.

Problem is that we always struggle on pitches like these ones. Basically where after 2 days they literally fall apart. Then you have paki spinners that wouldn't get a wicket outside the sub continent turning the ball at right angles. Its always been a problem and at the end of the day we are not good enough in thses conditions.

If you think about it the last australian team to win on these sort of pitches was a Steve Waugh led side that was pretty dominant in world cricket.

Yes I would agree that one of these guys needs to come in but are they any better in these conditions? Not so sure about the 2nd.

Michael Clarke only has 1 score above 25 in his last 15 Test innings, is he finished? Back stuffed?

Steve Smith should bat at 3. Doolan is not up to it.

Funny thing is people talking about the pitch and the spin, look at the wickets, most of them were the 'straight ones' our batsmen should have a lot of experience facing our mediocre 'spinners' in the nets.

The big show should play in any test on the sub continent.

No point bringing Hughes in for Doolan, he is probably one of the worst players of spin in the country

I'm in favor of giving Smith a go at three and seeing how he goes there. Doolan definitely not up to it, just gets bogged down far too easily.
