On the cricket Australia website they have the Sheridan wicket as being a stumping, wouldn't have thought that's right...

He wasn't taking a run, he was standing outside of his crease after letting the ball go and the keeper through the wicket down so it is the correct call that being stumped

I was of the understanding that if the keeper throws the stumps down while standing back to a fast bowler it was a run out regardless of whether a run was attempted or not. Learn something new everyday!

I also thought the same.
I did that a couple of times as a keeper - I was gipped of some dismissals!

Stumping is definitely the correct dismissal if the batsman is not attempting a run. There is an anomoly to this though. If the batsman is not attempting to run but it is a slip fielder who throws down the stumps it is a runout. I saw Hookesy do this once or twice in grade cricket.

Why? They've still scored more than our first innings.

It's the fourth day, the wicket's deteriorating.
Oh crap, it's only the second!

that's why Sa would be favourate. The wicket will be flat now.

Over 40.4: Mennie to Herrick, no run, OUT, but out the very next ball, good length, just outside off, that line has proved fruitful all day, finds the edge, Crosthwaite with another catch

9/104
