Cam Williams 6-0-0-50.

Got smashed by Quiney, but surely you'd give him a chance now.

Wow got there in the second over so missed the first wicket left just after Cam White got out.

FFS what a f**king joke.

Deep square leg and fine leg to Quiney for about 50 overs and not one short ball in site. He was a statue for over 3-4 hours.

Same field for over an hour without a single change while Handscombe and Quiney belted them all over the park.

Absolute dollies being dropped except the keepers one early was a toughy.

I was there the day the worse every shield leg spin bowler got his one game. 15 full tosses inside his first 24 balls plus 3 half track bangers. Nerves is one thing but FFS i then went to training bowled well over fifty balls and not one full toss.

No wonder we come bottom year after year. I will go back again though had a good and cheap day overrall.

I wouldn't have bowled him again if Quiney was still in, but two other bats, one a tail ender, certainly not set, if he's going to show he's worth anything it was the right time.

For what it's worth, his second spell at the end there 2-0-0-4 was a bit more encouraging...

One bloke tearing him apart shouldn't have us gunshy about the lad forever.

Thats fair enough if he is bowling ok but a batsmsan is just having a day out but when you keep bowling full tosses any mug can hit you out the park. Didnt witness it but having spoke to a couple of mates who were there today they reckon it was the worst bowling they have ever seen and would have got hit out the park by club cricketers

When the Spinner is plucked from B Grade cricket last start (the 3rd level after First Class) what did you expect? Opening bats respecting his trash and just gently paddle it back to him

Imagine the sledging the bloke is going to cop, the Vics would be laughing their arses off at us

If SA cricket wasn't already a disgrace then we just put both feet in the coffin today. Can someone please nail the bastard shut

I never expected great things from him, and the only thing I can take from it is at least we are picking a local lad (which is what we bang on about on here anyway) instead of picking Aaron O'Brien who would keep it quiet without threatening the batsmen much.

cmon, wouldnt say that! in fairness to trav he is probably more nervous fielding than batting  He was a Junior keeper up until last year, he has fielded pretty well for TTGDCC and the U/19s could just be a bad day and nerves. Mind you, i did see the catch and  Ripper young lad though and hopefully he can get going with the bat.

Hopefully it was just nerves because he missed field 3 that were even easier than the drop catch including one that cost 4 runs.

Gotta laugh, all summer I've read on here "Why import, give local youth a shot"

What does SACA do? Give some local youth a shot and now they bagged again.

What do we want, immediate success from youth?

Would rather play an import over a local who struggles to land on on the deck.

SACA seems to have a love affair with leg spinners at the moment (either right or left) in all of their teams. Offies don't even get a look in

Yeah not making excuses for a mate, he has to play at the level but he will be a good cricketer for this state into the future. Only just turned 18, head switched on and real good lad. After the 20/20 premiership win the boys were chatting away in the rooms while trav went out off his own back and spoke with the u16/14s who had come to watch and thanked them for coming etc

People on here like to bag people, then praise them when they do well.... they really have NFI half the time

As for local 'talent' v import. Im happy Trav to get a crack, he actually does his craft well unlike Cam Williams. I have nothing personal against Cam but the fact that he doesnt do his craft well at all means his selection is baffling...... He is a B grade bowler that got thrown to wolves and got his pants pulled down.
