Enough in the deck for the Indian quicks, and good enough for the Batsman to make runs
COWAN
ZZZZed Cowan became Ed Capowan that session, does not look like getting out, and played some very good cricket shots
PONTING
Ponting made 62[94] played across the line too often , and benefited from some dopey bowling at him
This tactic of bowling short at him has had some success in the recent past, but it mainly only works early in his innings
Perhaps when the Indians have team meetings they should focus on how to bowl at the Aussies instead of the pre game comments made by retired Australian players
When the veteran gets his eye in it is a dumb tactic
At 2/46 AU were shaky, but Ricky took the initiative away from the Indians with some positive batting
WHAT IF
Ed makes a ton
Watto MiRacousLy is fit for Test 2
And Mr Cricket makes insignificant scores in this test
Maybe this intended one off test for Ed may continue on
And I will have to eat my words form my earlier post on Mr Ed

Watto will be fit for next test so someone will have to be dropped for Cowan to play. Watto to bat at 6 and replace Hussey perhaps

Cowan can't be dropped after this innings, has shown a hell of a lot of fight, as stated before an opening batsman from yesterdee year, pressure is now simply on Hussey to get runs

Pretty sure Hodge got dropped after making a big hundred and Dizzy was dropped after making a double hundred so you never know with these selectors. They wont drop Hussey, Marsh's spot looks most vulnerable. If Watto opens then Cowan or Warner might have to drop to 3

Been no secret that Clarke wants to bowl Watson, been no secret that Watson has said his bowling has affected his opening of the batting.
Clear to me if Hussey fails.
If he doesnt, nice problem to have
