Need something to change dramatically because lets be honest there is very little in District Teams that would make any difference whatsoever to a Shield side

Talent identification has failed, young players playing in the country associations dominating are not getting identified. For example 15 year old lad in Port Augusta plays A-grade town cricket as a keeper who performance for his age at that level is impressive. And also scored back to back 100's in the same day in separate grades. In his own grade of u/17's had to retire at 50 then come back in when everyone else is out before him. This lad has not played any grade cricket yet or approached from a college yet. This is one example and area needs to be fixed soon as possible.

Geez I reckon you should give someone at SACA a phone call and see if they can get him a scholarship or something to subsidise a move to town for the lad.
At the very least someone from your zone should be putting his name forward for consideration

This is where I believe the issue is with the SACA and apparently they are fixing it but!! What with?? This issue I had brought up many of times, SACA and district cricket need to to address this issue first before arguing how many teams there should be. May head to NSW and see what they are doing right. The problem with this system today is your last name and if you need to know someone.
