This is the highest 2nd innings score for Australia - previous was the successful 7/330 scored against South Africa in 2002.

What a win; better than 20/20? Definitely! Bring back the tri series!

Disappointing to lose, but cricket was the real winner ;)

I thought Hastings was supposed to be an all rounder? Even the commentators were refering to him as a bowler

EG 333 a score that was Graham Goochs highest score in Test cricket

STRAUSS 63[69]
TROTT 137[126] man of the match with one of the great innings in ODI
BELL 45[32]

TAIT 2/55 [10]

AU need 334 a score that The Don and The Tub have made in Test Cricket

WATTO 51[34] set the win up with a awesome exhibition
FERGUSON 46[44] good innings, a good decison batting 3
MJ 57[59] this was a masterstroke to bat him 4
HUSSEY 38[36]
CLARKE 82 [70] strike rate 117  batted 5 a masterstoke decision
JOHNO196 7*[4]
LEE 2*[2]

ANDERSON 1/91[10]

Masterful manipulation of the batting order, no coincidence it happens with Australias best available captain

AU7
EG5

AU will now win more games this season against England

Whadda win

As for the bowling, I can't imagine Christian would have conceded any less.

For the record The Duke is from NSW (as is Christian, so the Hastings detractors are just pining for another Blue).

SMITHY
Has been posting for a while that CLARKE should be batting opener or 5/6
CLARKE batted 5 tonight, and slayed them
What can I say Smithy, your idol has made you LOOOOOOK good !
Also good captaincy to bat Clarke at 5 ....

HASTINGS
Honest cricketer, what he might lack in sheer ability he makes up by being a competitive allrounder
The guy has been battleing of late
Just good to see him hit the winning run

If we're claiming mickey mouse wins surely England can claim the tour match wins against WA and Australia A, plus the OD win against the PM's XI?

Been saying for 2 weeks now he bats 1, 5 or 6 in ODI.
Check the stats out.
White at 3 and Clarke at 5 is ideal IMO.
