warner agreed but perhaps he's been told to play that way

o'keefe, he probably got his game on his game at the same ground against the redbacks a couple of weeks ago, however now he's in he has to be given a chance

smith, agreed, if he isn't going to bowl & he wont too often at T20 level, he shouldn't be in

paine, well he wasn't given an opportunity tonight was he ?...should at least be in front of run accumulator hussey

Warner told by NSW and AUS to bat that way after he has been so successful?

O'Keefe - Given a shot after one performance, typlcal of our deperation at the moment

Paine has had 2 Int T20's for 1 run so far, again promoted on promise and hope...I agree he has to be given a chance but just reflects the state of cricket at the moment, meanwhile England have blokes we have never heard of performing

No good playing three quicks, when you have a slow pich, its ok to come out of the hand at 150k's but if the pich is slow and no bounce it becomes easy for any batsman to have a go a it.

Dissapointed that a 32000 strong crowd could only raise $24000 to the Queensland flood disaster, thats less than a dollar a person who went to the game.

You can't make people hand over money though mate. I'm sure the people of QLD appreciate anything they can get. Well done to the people in raising $24K I say. Don't forget the money sent by "the State Government" is from the people of SA.

I'm looking forward to kicking back with a beer and watching the next game tomorrow night.

I'd prefer to give gifts that I know have to be put to good use and can provide smiles for the children who have lost everything, my kids are at home at the moment preparing "shoeboxes of love" for less fortunate kids.
It did touch mt heart though seeing Mitch going around the boundary with a bucket and seeing people streaming down the aisles to put in redbacks and nifties, they didn't have to and it probably cost them in excess of $100 just to go to the game.

WTF is up with Warner? He has become more of a grafter than a big hitter, the English showed how the first 6 overs should be played and set up the win from there.

O'Keefe, Smith and Paine arent up to it yet...thats the difference, we pick players and hope, the English know their guys can/will perform.

Maybe he is trying to prove that he is more than just a teeball basher and he i trying to put his name in front of selectors (both nsw and aus) that he should be considered for the longer formats....he has batted conservatively throughout the 20/20 tournaments both domestic and internationally

Tend to agree, but he got picked for T20 from his explosiveness, he has to be careful he doesnt kill that off trying to achieve something else, and I dont think a international T20 game is the place to be pushing selection in other forms

I agree. To play multiple formats, you need to be adaptable not play a hybrid style to try and cover them all at once.

Exactly, I'm not very good at bowling with my right arm so I use my left because that is my strength.

while we've already donated, last night i was in the chappell stand & i never saw any collectors in my area, saw some walking the boundary on the members side, but i doubt whether they got to more than half the people & i would've been happy to put in more & will do so in the next couple of days
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Why would you pick 4 openers (Finch, Watson, Warner and Paine) and have a guy playing for his livelihood (Finch) batting at Number 5 in a position where he should be swinging like an axeman. The players who bat 5 and 6 in T20 should be massive strikers (eg Pollard) who can smash long balls, yet we had Finch and Smith swinging like rusty gates. Find the biggest strikers of the KFC Big Bash who are Australian, bat them at 5,6 and 7 and tell them they're there for 10 matches regardless of performance and get them swinging hard! Last night's performance after Watson took 26 off one over (which would normally win you 95% of matches) was embarrassing!
