Fair chance I reckon.

I can seriously see England make 650. Aus then all out again for 300.

Agreed, there was one in perth where collingwood hardly played a shot and they gave it four runs. Not our day at all

As much as i hate getting beaten i hope we get flogged this match. A couple of individuals papered over the gaps in perth. Apart from a couple of guys our batting had been diabolical this series, our batsmen have the inability to be patient and wait for the bad ball. We constantly hang the bat and get edges yet the whole series the bowlers have copped the blame. The batsmen seem not to be accountable apart from north. Needs 3-4 new faces for next test. Hopefully kat can come back for hughes and clarke, ponting and smith need to go. Khawaja is a must for sydney and okeefe if they want a spinner. Id also look at ferg or maddison, we need to prepare for the next generation and start blooding these guys.

Bresnan FFS! Absolute Pie Chucker. You would think we are facing Ambrose or Marshall out there today. Worst batting performance I have witnessed in my 35 years of watching Test Cricket.

Absolutely agree. Top 6 bar hussey show no patience, no determination and value on their wicket. We don't have to score quickly anymore, we used to coz we could and had the batters to do so. Find some guys who I'll value their wicket as Hughes, Clarke and smith are not up to it anymore and punter needs to think about what is best. Serious questions to be asked of cricket Australia, too much emphasis on the coin and not on the real thing that counts, test cricket. Absolute ******* disgrace today. Piss poor. My ******* 5 year old nephew shows more application in his batting in the backyard than these clowns.

How smith is our best 6th bat in the country is a ******* joke.

England bowlers too good, and even bresnan put it on the spot, we bowl too many 4 balls. The wicket was fine, we wee just hopeless.

LAst couple that have posted been right on the money, England dominated today because they bowled in the right areas and we seemed to want to go fishing, the days of being aggressive continually are going by the wayside with Australia, it was always great when we had guys such as Gilchrist at 7 or 8 followed by Warne and then a couple of others that may pull you out the poo. Thought Siddle bowled the right areas today but then the England batsman showed how you play the ball when it is in the right corridor. My horrid feeling is that we did not look like taking a wicket today and if these guys are on the money tomorrow goodness knows what may happen.

Unfortunately I think we are going to have to endure this sort of cricket more often than not in the future, I reckon Perth was a one off and it was really only one spell of bowling that turned that game, the same bowler today was absolute Pie.

still in saying all that crickets a funny game, never know we may go and and knock them out for 250 tomorrow but somehow i doubt it.

Another major problem is that realistically on form neither our Captain or Vice Captain should be retained in the side

I think you're a bit harsh on Clarke, was patient until his 87 min. Thought Ponting got the ball of the day. But really not one of our boys can hold their head high after today.

Yep, clearly there isn't a lot of future in this current team. Time to tear it down and re-build it. There are some players in this team who should have played their last Test, and if we don't introduce at least 3-4 new players for Sydney, the selectors need sacking as well.

I am getting a feeling though that if they win this match by a significant margin as appears likely, problems await in melbourne on boxing day. With the exception of Hussey and Watson, batting has still underperformed and the bowlers wont be able to intimidate the Poms in Melbourne with extra speed like they have here. This series is becoming more and more like the 2009 ashes every day.

I said this would happen after day two of the perth test. I dont now what the big shock is. Poor selection by both batsmen and the selectors has really given the aussies no hope in this series. The final inglorius shot that sinks the ship will be when swannie takes 5 for on day 3/4 and gifts the poms the little urn.

Is there any surprise at the state of Australian cricket when two South Aussies are the coach and head of selectors.

Hey I'm not making excuses all i'm saying if your prepared to make excuses for Hussey the same can be made Clarke and Ponting. Yep he got a good nut but he could've left like Ponting and Clarke should've.

Bottom line there needs to be a total review and the time for some application and G'n'd is now. I don't want entertainment I want results!!!

FFS, I know it's already been said, but our inability to shoulder arms to balls that don't need to be played is bloody amateur. Value your wicket for christ's sake!

I agree with NFC, worst day of Aussie cricket I have seen.
