What a sensational new talent we have.
Amazing what can happen when young kids with no fear get a gig.

Now if North can be replaced by Khawaja......................?

Im no expert, but I'd think we need to keep the Paki's in an uncertain position by the end of today, as it seems to be the morning sessions where the ball goes nuts?

PA need 180
0/18 [3]
runs a plenty 2 3rd man AGAIN
WATTO drops a catch at first slip, FARhaT the lucky batter
Why Ponting fields him at first slip is beyond me
Watto is a very ordinary slipper

Bollinger/ Hilfenhaus/ Johnson thier job is to get the shine of the ball
Then the spearheads NORTH and WATTO can clean em up

My prediction of a 190 chase was wayyyyy off
10 runs off

I predicted the PA first dig at exactly 258
I will predict thier 2nd dig of exactly 180
Can I do it again

Hilfy was always going to take a wicket this over (easy I know to say after the event, but gut feel and a rating of the boy had me convinced)

Disagree, fantastic slipper, even the best drop catches, remember Warne's hat-trick ball disaster? Was he a good slipper? One of the best ever.

Watson is a terrific slipper, just missed one, happens to everyone at some stage.

Australia 88 & 349

Clarke 77
Smith 77
Ponting 66

Amir 4/86

Pakistan 258 & 3/140

Farhat 67
Azhar 47*

Bollinger 2/37

Pakistan need 40 more runs to win with 7 wickets in hand

Stumps-Day 3

Jarrod Kimber's Day 3 review:

Today might also be Marcus North’s last shot in test cricket. If it was, he won’t look back fondly at the attempted forcing push on the off side that he dragged back onto his stumps. The ball wasn’t special, it didn’t move much, the bounce was predictable, and it wasn’t bowled at express pace. North just played the wrong shot early in his innings, again. His last 10 tests have him averaging 30 and with one century against a poor New Zealand attack.

World cricket authorities need to listen to my message
2 TEST SERIES ARE SIMPLY NOT ENOUGH
We have a situation wher PA are very likley to win the 2nd Test
What does a 1-1 drawn series mean ?
Means there is no winner of the series [derrrrrr]
Surely 3 Tests are the minimum requirement
A 3rd Test between these 2 teams is needed to sort out a series winner

Agreed MAL.

You can't have a "one-off" Test, that's just gay.

Two tests are not any better, this series is exhibit A.

AUS dominate T1, PAK quicks have been MALicious in T2, and will likely win.

Gives no true reading of where either side is at.

Three is a MINIMUM, I would prefer FOUR.

You can still draw, but over the four Tests, you'd get a more accurate reading.

Yes, and he watches Watto with both eyes open. Watto has improved enormously but he's not a great slipper.
