Regardless a great team effort to get to 466 all out.

The bowlers should enjoy the conditions and if we bowl well we should get into their middle order today. I am keen to see how the Hilf will go with the red ball.

Ummmm,,that's awful.

But Johnson is an all-rounder. Fantastic innings

Aussies shoudnt be able to lose it from here, batting 3rd.

great effort. poor bloke johnson! hopefully get too see a lot more of him doing this at test level!!!!! very exciting all rounder johnson!
the hilf has a lot to prove and make up for now. on debut tho bloke in the nineties the other end woulda been hard!
interestingly enough, the hilf left geeves stranded on 99* earlier this season, and then it happened to geeves again this year..hasnt got a good record the hilf with gettin ppl to the ton!
i would open johnson n get him to bowl some heat he would have to be fired up now surely

466 Sensational but the honeymoon is over

Lets take a backseat

1st test v India Australia batted well had the currys in all sorts and they escaped with a draw
Ist Test v South africa we batted well set them a world record chase and lost

1st test this series , bat well again make 466
Can we nail them with our inexperienced 4 man attack ?

To epitimise our recent woes
North on debut makes a ton, a truly great effort on debut, coming in at 4/150 odd.
BUT
I truly hope he can take a couple of wickets if needed
Would hate to see Marcus take 0/75 of 22 overs and dent his batting confidence

What did this test prove so far ?
Proves MJ making a Dorrie Evans [ 96 ] is the guy who can bat 8 and we can play Mcgain in this team

In the long term Mcdonald /North cant be in the same team
We tried that with Watto and White in India and it didnt click

Morkel is officially on a hatrick next ball in the 2nd dig after his claytons hat trick today

I knew that but it looked funny that you were devastated with us making 466 :D .

Morkel bowling for a hat-trick with his first ball in our second innings.

Have to really feel for Johnson. He was not just bullying weak bowlers like Harris but even when Steyn came back on he hit him around as well. What a great knock =D> =D>

Congratulations to North. 100 on debut is very rare and he has done it against the best team in the world. What a fine innings =D> =D>
