So where is everyone spewing about the declaration? What about the "batting practice" everyone wanted?

what a stupid declaration in the end, if they were going to declare it had to be at least an hour earlier, wouldnt blame the Vics batting all day tomorrow...

They were 7 down. No chance of taking first innings points. It was a good declaration in the circumstances. Had we been 3 wickets down we would and should have kept batting.

normally I would say who gives a damn about 1 run but we are talking about S.A. here so its very important but one wonders why you bothered checking

In the match notes it says that the runs in the SA 1st innings don't match.

Actually a very good point because the board completely doesn't balance out.

I think that the declaration was stupid being 116 behind. South Australia should have just went for the 2 points for first innings and not worried about the outright win. Any points are a bonus for south australia and id they went on to get the points it would have been a morale booster for them i believe! Declaring will see us in need of quick runs and more then likely see our batters crumble like they have in the countless years gone by.

This is a question though that im not sure if its been brought up, could Nathan Adcock make a return to replace Dan Cullen as the off spinner and provide greater depth (altho some would argue about that lol)? I think he took 11 wickets over two innings on the weekend.

Should have fought for the two points. Got to start getting a winning culture happening. Make them bowl you out. Imagine the boost the group could have gotten for overhauling the Bushrangers' total. A lot of teams will get a donut out of the Vic game.

Of course if the Backs clean up today I'm going to look silly LOL. Or should that be sillier?

Gee your harsh Blink!! He played a shot and with his forward momentum came out of the crease, he was just unlucky the ball went straight into the hands of short leg who flicked it back and he was gone. One of those unlucky dismissals. It's also his first knock for the summer, not like it's been happening all year FFS....

Lots of knockers on here after a reasonable start IMHO, apart from the bowling

If it hadn't happened all last year then yes, it would be harsh.
I really rate Ferg, that is why it frustrates the hell out of me when he gets out after a good start!

Still doubt they will get the outright, that puts them approx 190 behind i think, so i still think we will struggle to get the outright and i think we should have settled for the two points

5/87 now.

Over 26.6: Cleary to Quiney, no run, OUT, drives hard back to the bowler -- it just touches his hands and McDonald is run out off the bowlers hand, great hour by SA 4 wkts and it's drinks 5/87

If we don't fall in a heap batting wise, it should be a win.
